On Thursday, as part of parent RWS Group, we are in the final of the Golden Bridge Awards, organised by the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain. It promises to be an outstanding occasion and we are up against some fantastic companies. As we move towards the event, it gives us a moment to reflect on all the work undertaken by the Group, in recent years, to develop this important market.
At the outset, we defined and researched our target markets and attended exhibitions and conferences, all the time developing our key messages. We became involved in networks and trade bodies and also made sure we had a strong and growing presence on the ground with people that had a thorough knowledge of the market. We built steadily and above all focussed on providing our customer base with a top quality service.
There is no magic formula to developing new markets as we have discovered on every occasion we have made the move. Some things will be successful some will fall a little short. That is only to be expected. There have been many challenges along the way and, no doubt, there will be many more to come. However, with perseverance, determination and just a little bit of luck, we have gained a great deal of ground.
Getting to the final of the Golden Bridge Awards is a massive indicator that we are doing the right things. We look forward to a memorable awards ceremony. Good luck to all taking part.
